Kate Aitchison is an artist and lover of the outdoors.  Originally from Flagstaff, AZ, Kate is an artist and river guide on the San Juan and Colorado Rivers, where her love and stewardship of wild landscapes began.  Now, Kate sees art as way to communicate the importance and necessity of conservation and public lands management in a world where human intervention touches every aspect of the natural world.  For her, making prayer flags that benefit the places they depict is a way for her to do a small part to teach people about the value of open spaced to support the conservation of the wild places she loves.  To view her fine artwork visit her website www.kateaitchison.com.
